Volunteer descriptions :
Non-consigning volunteers (NCV's):
You don't have to consign to volunteer. In addition to early shopping privileges, NCV's receive 10% off their total purchases. If you are interested, please complete NCV registration form. You will receive your 10% discount as a rebate check the week following the sale.
Meal volunteers:
Meal vounteers bring lunch or dinner for our volunteers. While home cooked meals are great, anything that will feed 10 people counts as a 4hr shift. Meal volunteer positions can be combined with the sort shift for more benefits. Call Jen (260-1168) or email jen@handmeups.com for more information and to sign up.
Drop-off volunteers:
These volunteers get "first look" at all the incoming merchandise! Check-in workers inspect merchandise as it comes in to ensure that it meets Hand Me Ups quality standards. If you love looking at clothes and have an eye for detail, then this is the job for you! Organizers do just that, they organize the merchandise on the sale floor. Organizers - you know who you are, you can look at a pile of "stuff" and know just what to do...
Sort volunteers:
Sort volunteers help to break down the sale, by gathering and organizing all the remaining merchandise for consignor pick-up.
Pre-Sale/Public Sale volunteers:
Check-out workers will remove tags, run the register and bag merchandise. Sales floor workers will assist shoppers with merchandise as well as keep the sales floor organized.
